Baked Pork Chops
This is one of our go-to recipes during the week as it’s so easy………and sooooo good. Perfect every time.
Ingredients:
4 – Thick Cut boneless pork loin chops (can use bone-in too)
1 1/2 Tbsp Montreal Steak Seasoning
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 large Vandalia onion – sliced into 4 – 1/2 “ wedges
1 Red or Green pepper – sliced into 4 – 1/2” wedges (Red Pepper is nice – adds sweetness)
1/4 – 1/2 cup good white wine or chicken broth
1 1/2 Tbsp Montreal Steak Seasoning
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 large Vandalia onion – sliced into 4 – 1/2 “ wedges
1 Red or Green pepper – sliced into 4 – 1/2” wedges (Red Pepper is nice – adds sweetness)
1/4 – 1/2 cup good white wine or chicken broth
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Sprinkle the steak seasoning over both sides of the pork chops. Heat olive oil on Med-high in oven proof skillet. Seer the pork chops abut 2-3 minutes until nicely browned and flip to brown the other side. Once the chop is flipped, top each with a slice of onion and top that with a slice of the red pepper. Pour in the wine to deglaze for 1 minute then turn the heat off and cover the chops with lid. Put in 325 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours. Check after an hour to make sure you still have liquid in the bottom. Add more wine if needed. Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes. Serve with the pan juices poured over top, thyme roasted potatoes, and sweet baby peas.
